Markus Mäder, State Secretary for Security Policy, will hold talks on current security policy developments and bilateral cooperation with his counterparts in Chisinau (Moldova) from 17 to 18 July.

The first security policy dialogue between Switzerland and Moldova will take place on 17 July chaired by Markus Mäder, State Secretary for Security Policy, and his Moldovan counterpart at the Ministry of Defence, State Secretary Sergiu Plop. State Secretary Mäder will be accompanied by representatives from the State Secretariat for Security Policy (SEPOS), the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and the Swiss Armed Forces. The talks will focus on issues such as European security, hybrid threats and multilateral and bilateral cooperation. The role of neutrality in European security will also be a topic. Moldova participates in NATO's Partnership for Peace, as does Switzerland.

The State Secretary will also use his visit to Chisinau for further working meetings, including with Valeriu Mija, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
