On 30 June President Merz will receive the Kyrgyz Prime Minister Igor Chudinov for a courtesy call in Bern. In the meeting, the cooperation between the two countries in the Bretton Woods Institutions will be discussed, along with bilateral relations. Switzerland and Kyrgyzstan belong to the same constituency in the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In addition, current topics such as the financial crisis and prospects for the global economy will also be on the agenda.

On 30 June President Merz will receive the Kyrgyz Prime Minister Igor Chudinov for a courtesy call in Bern. In the meeting, the cooperation between the two countries in the Bretton Woods Institutions will be discussed, along with bilateral relations. Switzerland and Kyrgyzstan belong to the same constituency in the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In addition, current topics such as the financial crisis and prospects for the global economy will also be on the agenda.

Prime Minister Chudinov will also pay a courtesy call on Federal Councillor Micheline Calmy-Rey during the course of the day. He will also meet the Director of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, State Secretary Jean-Daniel Gerber and the Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Martin Dahinden. 

 

Before the start of the meeting there will be a photo call at 2 p.m. in the Bernerhof.
