Official Working Visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru

During their meeting, Federal Councillor Micheline Calmy-Rey and her Peruvian guest primarily discussed bilateral issues and the cooperation of the two countries within the framework of the U.N. In this connection, the two countries decided to institute regular political consultations aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and strengthening their cooperation within the scope of multilateral institutions. In addition, they took up the issue of the new strategic approach of Swiss development cooperation in Peru. Switzerland has been active in Peru since 1964.
