Contesto Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) calls for 'ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. UNICEF estimates that before the pandemic, half of all children in developing countries suffered from at least one severe deprivation, without a minimum level of access to education, health, shelter, nutrition, sanitation or water. The Covid-19 pandemic is reversing progress made in the fight against child poverty and causing a significant increase of an additional 100 million children living in multidimensional poverty. This represents a 10% increase compared to 2019 (UNICEF 2021). Even before the pandemic, 130 million girls were not in school. The education of 128 million children was affected by conflict and crisis and 3 million refugee children were without access to education altogether. In addition, the combination of conflict, climate change and Covid 19 has exacerbated humanitarian crises. More children than ever before were forcibly displaced in 2020, accounting to 34.4 million (UNICEF 2021).
Obiettivi Enhance inclusive and equitable quality education to promote sustainable development for all girls and boys.
