At this year’s Olma, the Swiss Trade Fair for Agriculture and Food, the SDC will be displaying food products from all around the world. It aims to raise awareness about the lives of tens of thousands of small-scale farmers who benefit from SDC projects.
In the east of Switzerland it is known as ‘the fifth season’. The Swiss Trade Fair for Agriculture and Food (Olma) will run from 8 to 18 October in St Gallen. This year, the SDC will be taking part with a special exhibition entitled ‘Über den Tellerrand’ (Beyond one’s own four kitchen walls).
The public will be invited to wander through a global market full of products from the various projects supported by the SDC around the world. Visitors will learn about the people behind the products, their daily lives and their culture. The rich variety of smells and tastes will open up a whole new gastronomic realm, beyond our own four kitchen walls.
Entry fee: CHF 17 (adult). Free for children under six.
