The SDC regularly reviews its activities and effectiveness in key areas of Swiss development cooperation. Since 2000, it has published these results in the form of reports that are aimed at a wide target audience.
Reports on effectiveness and annual reports
The principal aim of these reports is to inform the Swiss public and parliamentarians on the effectiveness of Switzerland’s development cooperation. They also contribute to the SDC’s institutional learning and hence to the ongoing qualitative improvement of its cooperation and development strategies and projects.
Reports on effectiveness
The SDC has published reports on the effectiveness of Swiss development cooperation since 2008. These reports review its key activities: water, agriculture, climate change and health. They not only report on the SDC’s successes but also on the difficulties encountered and the challenges to be met. In cases where the area of activity in question also involves the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, the report is published jointly.
Each year SDC’s annual reports present a sample of the results achieved and demonstrate how Switzerland has helped to solve local, regional and global problems in different parts of the world.
