The Embassy of Switzerland together with the Embassies of Austria, Germany and the Goethe-Institut Cyprus are delighted to announce the 8th edition of the "Weeks of the German Language!" The festival is organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus and runs through from 5 to 26 November 2024 with an array of events.

Bicommunal concert: "Playing to Connect"

“Playing to Connect”, a quintet bi-communal concert - The Embassy together with the Centre of Visual Arts and Research CVAR, are hosting a concert with Greek & Turkish Cypriot musicians on 15 April 2024. The programme includes works of eight composers, such as Schubert, Dvořák, Strauss II and Piazzola.

Francophonie 2024: Film, "Tambour Battant" directed by François-Christophe Marzal

Switzerland participates in the Francophonie 2024 events in Cyprus with the comedy film, "Tambour Battant" (Roll the Drum) directed by François-Christophe Marzal (2019, 90') with screenings on 11 March, 20.30h at the Pantheon in Nicosia and on 15 March, 20h at the Rialto in Limassol.

This year's festival is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus and runs through from 1 to 16 November with an array of events.

Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival 2023 - Swiss participation

24th Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival, 7 - 29 June 2023 Switzerland opens and closes this year's festival with performances by two renowned groups, Cie Philippe Saire performing "Hocus Pocus" & "Vacuum" and Tabea Martin performing Forever.

The Embassy of Switzerland together with the Embassies of Austria, Germany and the Goethe-Institut Cyprus are launching the 6th edition of the Weeks of the German Language on 23 October with the traditional open-air festival and it will be rounded up with a public screening of Switzerland playing against Brazil at the World Cup on 28 November 2022!
