Return to Switzerland

More and more people are contracting the new coronavirus in Switzerland. Information on the current situation, recommendations for the public, people at high risk, the workplace, and health professionals can be found on the webpage of the the Federal Office of Public Health of Switzerland FOPH.

The FDFA requires all Swiss travelers abroad to quickly register their contact details and their place of stay on the Travel Admin application so that the representation can contact them.

Currently, no charter return flight from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Switzerland is planned. It is still possible to return to Switzerland by private car. If you need assistance, please contact the Swiss Embassy in Sarajevo (email: sarajevo@eda.admin.ch or phone +387 33 27 58 50). We will do our best to assist you to return home.

The Travel Advice FDFA (in German, French and Italian) offers travelers basic information for travel preparation related to the COVID-19 crisis. They are to be considered as a complementary source of information.
