The Swiss National Day celebration is just around the corner! The Swiss Embassy invites you to join an evening of festivities at the Swiss Club on Saturday, 3 August 2024, at 6:00PM. The celebration promises something for everyone. The evening begins with an Apéro on the lawn, featuring Swiss music and the sounds of the alphorn. Children will have the opportunity to participate in a lampion parade, followed by a traditional bonfire at the Swiss School. The Swiss Alpine Lions brass band will fill the evening with lively music, while guests can savour a sumptuous Swiss buffet, completed with Raclette stations. A special highlight will be a message broadcasted from the Swiss President. Swiss Club members can secure their tickets here. Tickets for the general public are available here. This year, the "Neues Zürcher Orchester” celebrates its 25th anniversary. On this occasion, together with the Swiss Philharmonic Academy they will go on an Asia Tour and perform in Japan, South Korea and Singapore.The NZO is one of the finest orchestra with outstanding young players. Ambassador Johannes Matyassy, Assistant State Secretary for Asia/Pacific, visited Singapore on March 27. The purpose of his visit was the regular political dialogue between our two countries. As a representative of the Swiss government, together with Ambassador Kupfer, he also attended the Lying-In-State at the Parliament to pay respect to Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the Founding Father of Singapore.During his visit, Ambassador Matyassy met with several high ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss questions of mutual interest in the Swiss-Singapore relations. He also visited the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), which is jointly funded by the Asia-Europe-Meeting (ASEM) member countries. Switzerland joined ASEM in 2012 to promote the cooperation between Asia and Europe together with the 50 other ASEM members.Ambassador Matyassy continued his journey to Bangkok, where he represents Switzerland in an ASEM Senior Official Meeting.

After his performance in the musical « A Singaporean in Paris » in 2014, French-speaker Singaporean artist Hossan Leong comes back for Francophonie 2015 with Voyage Voyage, a medley of some of the most popular French songs. Hossan will also make use of his knowledge of the two cultures and stage with humour, typical intercultural misunderstanding. Come and enjoy much more than a concert!
