Important notice for third-country nationals in the Schengen area

Due to the military escalation in the Gulf region, some travellers may encounter difficulties returning to their country of residence.

If your stay in the Schengen area exceeds the duration permitted by your visa or if you face issues related to your residence status, please contact the competent migration authority before your visa expires:

  • If you are in Switzerland: contact the cantonal migration office responsible for your place of stay.
  • If you are in another Schengen country on a visa issued by Switzerland: contact the migration authorities of the country where you are staying. Contact information for migration authorities can be obtained via an online search or from a local authority.
