The Embassy of Switzerland in the Islamic Republic of Iran is closely monitoring the developments in the region. The situation in connection with the conflict in the Middle East is volatile. The development of the situation is uncertain and a significant deterioration of the security situation throughout the country is possible at any time.

For Swiss citizens: Tourism and non-essential travel to Iran is not advised. Please observe the FDFA's travel advice (in German, French and Italian) and inform yourself independently regarding the current situation and follow the instructions of the local authorities.

In order to ensure communication, it is important that you keep your contact and travel data up-to-date on Travel Admin App or at the Swiss representation where you are registered.

The Swiss Embassy in Tehran is operational and continues to provide its usual services and assistance. However, in the event of a deterioration of the situation, the Swiss Embassy in Tehran has only limited capacity to provide services or emergency assistance.
