Swiss VET is structured as a private-sector driven educational model and is the driving force of Switzerland’s global competitiveness, innovation and economic success. This seminar aims to showcase how the Swiss dual VET model could contribute to skilling individuals for the labour market.

Send us your selfie photo from a “Swiss Films on Wheels” film screening of “Heidi” and “My Life as a Zucchini”! Participate in our #SwissFilmsonWheels photo entry and stand a chance to win a Swiss box of colored pencils and a Swiss coloring book. Prizes can be won once every month, starting from March 2018, ending in May 2018. The first 10 photo entries each month (March, April and May 2018) will be the winners and a selection of the photos will be published on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Switzerland in India. In total 30 prizes can be won by the audience of the “Swiss Films on Wheels” film screenings. The selfie photo selection is made by the entry date in the Embassy mailbox.

On occasion of the 70 Years of Swiss Indian Friendship, the Swiss representations in India bring the best of children’s movies from Switzerland to various regions in India. The films “Heidi” and “My Life as a Zucchini” will travel on a special bus and spread a message of friendship, understanding, respect and inclusiveness.

Dr. Barbara Beckett, Professor of Conservation and Restoration of Architecture and Furnishing at the University of Applied Sciences, Bern, Switzerland, will be in conversation with Mr Vikas Dilawari of Vikas Dilawari Architects. In a candid conversation on the 'Life of Conservation', they will discuss art and architecture in changing times. This conversation takes place within the 'Urban Design and Architecture' section of the festival.

“Kirti Mandir” was constructed in Vadodara by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III in 1936. The central hall of this edifice contains several impressive murals painted by the renowned artist of the Bengal School of Art, Nandalal Bose. Experts from Switzerland and India will deliver talks (open for public) and organise practical demonstrations in the fields of conservation of wall paintings on the site (entry by invitation only).
