1. Target communities are supported to voluntarily return, relocation/resettlement, and (re)integrate through the implementation of community-based planning and multi-sectoral recovery interventions aimed at building community cohesion and resilience
2. Enhanced economic status of the vulnerable members in the DACs through facilitated opportunities for livelihood diversification options through on-and off-farm interventions and increased access to finance
3. Strengthened area level spatial planning to ensure sustainable re-integration of DACs for improved access to Housing Land and Property (HLP)
4. Government’s capacity in mainstreaming DS in its programs is enhanced

Principaux résultats attendus:  

• IDPs looking to return and/or relocate are identified and targeted assistance is provided to facilitate safe, and dignified movements from locations of displacement, with particular focus on vulnerable groups
• Community-based planning is carried out to inform area-based multi-sectoral interventions to facilitate (re)integration in areas of settlement and to strengthen community structure
• DACs have equitable and better access to economic opportunities that allows livelihood diversification and other potential pathways towards climate change adaptation and mitigation
• Improved access to market and better income at household to mitigate the impact of shocks through off-farm livelihoods
• Revised legal frameworks and policy tools for improved institutional capacity to respond to the longer-term impacts of displacement affected communities
• Government capacity on early warning and monitoring systems is developed to strengthen mitigation and response to shocks
• Applied planning instruments for improved access to land information, development opportunities and access to housing
• Training and officials' study trips to project sites are facilitated to reinforce regional government capacity to mainstream DS

Principaux résultats antérieurs:  

1. Spatial profile assessment conducted by UN-Habitat in 2021, and joint UN assessment (IOM, FAO, UN-Habitat) provided a snap shot for development planning for the area. Several intervention options were developed, including plans for local re-integration
2. The SR government capacity in mainstreaming DS was maintained and enhanced, which can be exemplified by the strong leadership that showed in finalizing the DS Strategy 2022-2025
