Victim Assistance: Access to Rehabilitation and Linking Mine Action to Development – Contribution to MoveAbility (ex-SFD) Appeal 2017

Switzerland supports activities aimed at banning anti-personnel mines and cluster munitions as well as to alleviating the humanitarian suffering and socio-economic consequences caused by mines and all types of explosive remnants of war. Mine action is of direct relevance to fulfill the goals of the new 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which serves as an important reference point for Switzerland.

SolidarMed setzt sich ein für eine Welt, in der alle Menschen gleichberechtigten und finanziell abgesicherten Zugang zu guter Gesundheitsversorgung haben und damit ihr Recht auf Würde, Selbstbestimmung und bestmögliche Gesundheit in allen Lebenslagen verwirklichen können. SolidarMed arbeitet mit vulnerablen Gruppen : Frauen, Kinder, Arme und Menschen im ländlichen Gebiet. Die thematischen Schwerpunkten sind: Sexuelle und reproduktive Gesundheit und Rechte, Gesundheitssysteme, Gesundheit in Gemeinden und soziale Determinanten, Gesundheit von Mutter, Kind und Neugeborenen und NCDs, Malaria, TB und anderen Erkrankungen.

Enfants du Monde

L’ONG suisse Enfants du Monde (EdM) accompagne des expériences visant à améliorer la qualité de l’éducation de base et la dimension communautaire de la santé maternelle et infantile, sur la base d’approches élaborées et développées avec ses partenaires locaux, dans les pays prioritaires d’EdM. Il s’agit de l’approche « Pédagogie du Texte - PdT » en éducation et le framework « Collaborer avec les individus, les familles et les communautés pour améliorer la santé maternelle et néonatale - IFC » en santé.

EPER/HEKS concentre son programme international sur le développement rural, la gestion des conflits et la paix et les droits humains. La terre en tant que ressource est au cœur du programme de EPER/HEKS. Ceci que ce soit au niveau de l’accès à la terre, son utilisation agricole et la commercialisation des produits. L’intégration économique et sociale des hommes et femmes marginalisés est un aspect important du programme de EPER/HEKS. L’organisation travaille avec la conviction fondamentale que la justice est une exigence pour un développement durable et des structures de paix. A cette fin elle renforce les capacités de la société civile.

UNICEF an indispensable partner in crisis and fragile contexts in favor of children and women. The Office of Emergency Programmes (EMOPS) leads efforts to ensure that UNICEF’s role in complex emergencies and natural disasters is clearly defined, that the organization is properly equipped to fulfil that role, and that all levels of the organization are prepared to deliver the mandate. SDC/HA support to EMOPS in Geneva enables UNICEF to lead inter-agency humanitarian coordination, response and standard setting in the fields of WASH, Education, Nutrition and Child Protection, and to actively engage in inter-agency humanitarian reform and coordination structures and processes.

Social participation of youth is an objective and at the same time a condition for sustainable development. Young people are often marginalized and lack economic and social perspectives. Youth unemployment worldwide has dramatically risen in the last years and youth, especially girls, are far more exposed to violence and HIV-Aids than adults. terre des hommes schweiz program empowers young people to identify and use opportunities of participation and to advocate within communities for their rights and interests.
