The aim of this event was to promote and foster a dialogue between government representatives and the industrial sector’s cyber security communities. During this year’s Symposium, a platform was provided to highlight important cyber topics and strategic issues for senior cyber security executives, IT professionals, CEOs, business leaders and other government representatives who are concerned and interested in cyber security issues that are shaping and influencing our world today. The Symposium identified actions for the integration of cyber security into a broader perspective of security as a whole.

The keynote speakers and panel included representatives from the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport, the Federal Office for Cyber Security, the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and representatives from the business and private sectors. The panel discussion was moderated by the UK’s former Chair of the Defence Select Committee, The Rt Hon Lord Arbuthnot. The event concluded with a networking reception.
