The programme is a colourful mix of German-language films that are entertaining, challenging, emotional, moving, aesthetic and educational. This year, two Swiss co-productions will be screened: "The Universal Theory", from Timm Kröger, and "Blind at Heart", from Barbara Albert.

"The Universal Theory"

In 1962, physicist Johannes travels with his doctoral supervisor to a scientific congress in the Swiss Alps. It is there that he meets Karin, a jazz pianist, who is suspiciously knowledgeable about Johannes. A series of mysterious deaths occur at the mountainous site, and the two venture to uncover the secrets hidden below. The story includes an Iranian guest, a strange cloud formation in the sky and quantum mechanics.

German Film Days is a presentation and celebration of new German films shown for the first time on a cinema screen in Oslo. The Germans Film Days are organised by Goethe-Institut Norway in collaboration with Vega Scene and German Films, and in partnership with the German Embassy in Oslo.
