To mark the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) 2019, and to highlight the importance of disaster awareness and inclusiveness, the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CoES) under the Government of Tajikistan and UNDP organized a DRR week. During October 14-20, series of events such as round tables, search-and-rescue exercise and radio program on Inclusiveness were conducted in Dushanbe. All events were organized within the framework of the Swiss supported project on Strengthening Disaster Risk Governance in Tajikistan.

The demonstration exercise was organized in cooperation with the local NGO “Iroda” and involved 30 young individuals (24 boys and 6 girls) with autism and physical disability. ©UNDP
