The cultural life in Switzerland seems to be a mystery to most people in Taiwan. lf you want to learn more about what this melting-pot in the heart of Europe has to offer, come meet three Taiwanese artists who had their first-hand experience in the country.

SU Wenchi, a choreographer, was awarded the first Accelerate Taiwan Residency Award in 2016 to be an artist-in-residence at CERN. SU said her experience at CERN became part of her physical memory and influenced her body of work thereafter.  She also continued to collaborate with cosmologist Diego Blas, whom she met during the residency and presented a VR experience entitled " Black Hole Museum + Body Browser" at the Taipei Performing Arts Center in September 2019.

Po-Cheng Tsai, choreographer and founder of B.DANCE, established his unique choreographic language and aesthetic. He was invited to create work for Tanz Luzerner Theatre and Bern Tanzlounge.  He was also a guest artist at Bühnen Bern to choreograph Bach Recomposed for the Bern Ballet, which premiered in February 2023.

Ni Hao, the Taiwan born visual artist is known for combining sculptures, installations, videos and sound performances that explore the constantly shifting power systems and structures in the world. Ni’s work has been featured in exhibitions in Taiwan, U.S and Europe. He was the first grantee of the Pro Helvetia Artist Residency and spent three months at La Becque in 2022 where he worked on a large-scale installation inspired by the ideas of filtration systems.

The event will be conducted in Mandarin. Capacity is limited. Register in advance to secure your seat.
