The Trade Office of Swiss Industries facilitates and promotes economic, cultural, educational, scientific and tourism exchanges between Switzerland and Taiwan. It also provides practical assistance to Swiss nationals in Taiwan.

Outbreak of a new coronavirus

From 19 March 2020, all foreign nationals, including Swiss citizens, will be banned from entering Taiwan. Only foreign nationals who hold a valid Taiwanese residence permit are allowed to enter Taiwan but are subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

Since 16.03.2020 , the Federal Council has been recommending Swiss travellers to return home quickly. In order to better support those who are still blocked abroad, they should register on the "Travel Admin App" of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA.

Until further notice, the Trade Office of Swiss Industries will not issue visas.
