2021 Seoul UN Peacekeeping Ministerial took place on 7 and 8 December. At the Ministerial, sixty-two Member States announced new pledges to help enhance the performance and impact of peacekeeping operations. Swiss Federal Councillor Viola Amherd made a declaration that “Qualified personnel is a critical factor for military peacekeeping – and that includes women. In order to increase the participation of women we plan to introduce a special program.” Switzerland offered to host up to four UN training courses organized by the UN Peacekeeping in 2022.
