The Embassy of Switzerland in Jordan, in collaboration with the Embassy of France in Jordan, the Royal Film Commission - Jordan and the Institut français de Jordanie, is screening the film “Pierrot le fou” by Swiss-French director Jean-Luc Godard to pay tribute to his important cinematic work. 


Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars for the 2023-2024 Academic Year

Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. Recipients are selected by the awarding body, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students.

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are aimed at young researchers from abroad who have completed a master’s degree or PhD.



Small Actions and Culture Projects Grants (2022) - Call for projects

03.02.2022 — Position Jordan

The Embassy of Switzerland in Amman, accredited to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Iraq, has the honour to inform you that it hereby launches the call for projects for two types of grants: 

Small Actions projects: small-scale innovative projects of limited duration that address human rights and development issues related to the main areas of Switzerland’s support for Jordan or Iraq.

Small cultural projects grant: that promote and disseminate contemporary and innovative approaches in art and culture on topics related to human rights relevant for the Jordanian society.

COVID-19: The project proposals should take into account the current situation and be viable with the preventive measures in place in Jordan/Iraq to curb the spread of the virus. All health and security measures decided by the government of Jordan/Iraq – such as social distancing, sanitary measures and restrictions on gatherings – must be respected at all stages of the projects.

Presented by the Embassy of Switzerland in Jordan in collaboration with the Royal Film Commission, the Tribute to Nature Festival will feature two award-winning Swiss films, an exhibition on twenty innovative, environmentally-friendly solutions from Switzerland and a panel discussion with distinguished experts from both countries. The event will run from 28 July 2021 until 7 August 2021 at the premises of the Royal Film Commission in Jabal Amman.
