From Monday 18 May, the offices of the Consulate General are again open to the public from Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 12:00 but only to a limited extent. Admission is allowed only by appointment, to be requested by phone at +39(0)2 77 79 161 or by email at milano@eda.admin.ch.

Information for Swiss travellers

AS OF MARCH 16TH 2020, THE FEDERAL COUNCIL RECOMMENDS TO ALL SWISS TRAVELLERS ABROAD TO RETURN TO THEIR PLACE OF RESIDENCE, as long as it is still possible, by commercial or private means of transport. Swiss travellers abroad are requested to register on the App Travel Admin.

The Consulate General of Switzerland is located in the Swiss Center, overlooking Piazza Cavour in the heart of Milan. The Center, designed by the Swiss architect Armin Meili, was inaugurated in 1952. The place of Milan, together with that of Paris, is the oldest permanent site in Switzerland, opened after the creation of the Helvetic Republic in 1798.
