Entry requirements for Switzerland

As of 2 May 2022, the Federal Council lifts the current restrictions for all countries without distinction. From this date, the normal conditions apply for people wishing to enter Switzerland from Bolivia (Bolivian citizens need a Schengen visa to enter Switzerland).

If entry into Switzerland is via another Schengen airport, we recommend that you enquire at this representation about any restrictions. It is the traveller's responsibility to find out about possible restrictions in transit and/or pre-arrival countries as well as the airline's conditions on board. Please contact the respective representative and the respective airline.

Further information on the requirements for entry into Switzerland can be found on the website of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).

Please note that as of 02 May 2022, a Covid certificate is no longer required. You can find more information on the website of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

  • Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Embassy recommends that the Swiss community in Bolivia follow the guidelines and recommendations of the local authorities for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.

In Switzerland, the Federal Office of Public Health is the competent body and provides constant information on the situation in our country on its website.
