As we reflect on the past 20 years, it becomes evident that Switzerland and the UK and Ireland have crafted a remarkable tale of economic synergies and resilience. Through their unwavering commitment to trade, innovation and collaboration, these nations have built a foundation that transcends borders, exemplifying the transformative power of international partnerships.

Despite challenges such as the global financial crisis, Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic, the Swiss Business Hub has continually fostered the strong trade relationship between Switzerland and the UK and Ireland. Swiss precision engineering, pharmaceuticals and financial expertise have found a receptive market in the UK and Ireland with around 300 export mandates while Switzerland as a hub for innovation has attracted significant foreign direct investment from the UK and Ireland with more than 20 successful company settlements. These investments have fuelled the growth of various sectors, including technology, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and finance.

We were delighted to celebrate this great success and flourishing trade relationship at the SBH UK+I 20th Anniversary Celebration on 14 June.
