Bilateral Framework Agreement with Greece (2nd phase)

Since 2022, Switzerland has been supporting projects in Greece to improve migration management as part of its second contribution to selected EU member states. On the 13th of October 2025, Switzerland and Greece signed an agreement for an extension to this support for a second phase (2025–29). Switzerland will provide Greece with CHF 28.65 million in migration support, with a focus on providing infrastructure and services for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMAs). Other priorities include the early integration of vulnerable persons and the strengthening of asylum procedures. The agreement was signed by State Secretary for Migration, Vincenzo Mascioli, and Minister for Migration and Asylum, Thanos Plevris.
