Organic Trade 4 Development in Eastern Europe

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Central Asian states have inherited a legacy of highly toxic and radioactive waste originating from uranium mining and milling activities. The Environmental Remediation Account (ERA), specially set up for financing remediation works and managed by EBRD, will finance projects at seven top priority sites.

UNODC fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism, Phase II

The project supports several SECO priority countries and their neighbors in their endeavor to comply with the international standards on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT). UNODC Mentors placed in the region provide the technical assistance and thus contribute to combat illicit financial flows.
Faizobod Water and Wastewater Project

Access to safe drinking water and sanitation services for the population of Faizobod is limited and of poor service quality due to deteriorated Soviet era infrastructure.
