Sustainable conservation on Hungarian Natura 2000 sites

Countrywide surveys and assessments of data-deficient forest and wetland species and habitats deliver lacking data necessary to decide on corrective measures. Based on the data, management plans for Natura 2000 areas are elaborated in close cooperation with all stakeholders as farmers or the forest industry. The plans contain corrective measures and will contribute to preserve the areas combining the interests of environment and economy. 

Humanisation of the home for senior citizens in Opava

The project aims at increasing the quality of life of seniors in the Home for seniors in Opava by reconstructing 30 rooms, 4 common spaces and 15 new sanitary facilities. In addition, qualified social workers will introduce new state-of-the-art methods of individualized work, while the offer of existing social work methods will be extended. This will lead to the provision of high quality social services.
 

ALPs - African Livelihoods Partnership

ALPs is a trilateral South-South-North contribution project engaging Indian, African and European partners. Its main objective is enhanced livelihoods in select African countries (Cameroon, Tanzania and Mozambique in the initial stages). Vocational training, financial, agricultural, business and entrepreneurship services are integrated in an economic livelihoods promotion approach. ALPs plans to institutionalise in 2015 following a start-up period as a project. Investments will be financed through a separate livelihoods investment vehicle.

Providing for the data centre of the Police of the Czech Republic

The Police of the Czech Republic will be provided with a new data backup centre under its responsibility complying with standards of similar facilities operated in advanced EU Member States part of the s-TESTA network (secure Trans-European Services for Telematics between Administrations)
 

Information system for the purpose of criminal proceedings

The project will support the implementation of a new technology which will integrate the currently scattered information systems of the Police of the Czech Republic in order to achieve a more efficient processing of information collected by the members of the Czech Police. A study on the integration of information systems will be prepared and a new IT infrastructure will be procured following a public tender.

Sky-high schoolroom

Forest educational institutions are a perfect means for developing environmental consciousness of future generations. The project supports educational institutions in participating in such programs which familiarize children with protected areas such as Natura 2000. Thanks to the project, at least 12’600 children shall have the possibility to participate in such a program.

Improvement of services provided by the Charity House of Saint Wenceslas

The project aims at providing a dignified environment for seniors in the “Saint Wenceslas Charity House” by reconstructing rooms, common sanitary facilities and provision of a relaxation and stimulation garden for therapeutic activities. New methods of social work with elderly citizens will be introduced, which will lead to the provision of high quality social services. The current workers will be trained.

In addition, new personalized services will be introduced for the clients, which will lead to the provision of high quality social services.
 

Oral Health Prevention directed to small children

The programme is focused on education, promotion and prevention as regards oral health care directed to small children (0-5), their parents, carers and teachers. It also targets medical personnel dealing with small children – paediatrician, nurses and midwives. The overall goal is to reduce prevalence and incidence of dental caries in children aged 0-5 by promoting appropriate oral hygiene practices and good dietary habits counteracting harmful habits and practices.

Ammodernamento dei valichi di confine nel voivodato della Podlachia (Połowce)

Una struttura funzionale ed efficiente al confine orientale di Schengen è importante non solo per la Polonia e l’UE, ma anche per la sicurezza della Svizzera. Per questo la Svizzera ha deciso di contribuire ad ammodernare l’infrastruttura, consentendo di efficacizzare lo sdoganamento ai valichi strategici sul confine tra la Polonia e la Bielorussia. Con circa 1200 chilometri, il confine polacco rappresenta una delle frontiere esterne più lunghe dell’area Schengen.
