Core Contribution to Fédérations cantonales 2026

En Suisse latine, il y a 7 fédérations cantonales de coopération internationale (CI). Ces fédérations cantonales et leurs partenaires agissent, en réseau de manière concertée, pour la contribution à la mise en oeuvre de la stratégie de la CI 2025-28 sur 4 objectifs spécifiques (cofinancement de projets/programmes, dialogue institutionnel, travail en commun et information), cherchant à accroître leur impact (effets multiplicateurs) sur la réduction de la pauvreté dans les pays du Sud, afin de rendre leurs actions plus efficaces, coordonnées, cohérentes et légitimes. Les fédérations jouent un rôle d’interfaces entre leurs organisations membres et les pouvoirs publics – communes, cantons et Confédération, mais également avec le secteur privé et les universités de leur région.


Health Enhancement and Lifesaving (HEAL) Ukraine

The World Bank's Health Enhancement and Lifesaving (HEAL) project is a key instrument for sustaining Ukraine's health system during the ongoing war by financing essential health services, mental health, rehabilitation, primary healthcare, hospital modernization, and institutional strengthening. Complementing other Swiss-supported health projects that strengthen policies, workforce and institutions, HEAL ensures that these improvements translate into accessible, quality health services. Switzerland's contribution to the project will improve energy resilience, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare during winter and strengthening long-term health system resilience.


New Paths to Peace: New Technologies and Peacebuilding

Peace is a prerequisite for sustainable development, as reflected in SDG 16. Yet conflict, fragility, geopolitical fragmentation, and the erosion of international norms continue to undermine development gains. In this context, peacebuilding must be an integral part of effective and sustainable international cooperation. The Geneva-based Principles for Peace (P4P) Foundation responds to this need by strengthening evidence-informed peacebuilding interventions.


SUD, DRC, Durables Solutions in Darfur

The project aims to reduce vulnerabilities linked to displacement and strengthen resilience among IDPs, returnees, refugees and host communities in Nertiti, Golo and Um Dukhun, Central Darfur. Using an integrated area-based and humanitarian-development-peace nexus approach, it combines livelihoods, access to services, protection, peacebuilding, and natural resource management to support durable solutions and social cohesion. It is implemented by a consortium led by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), together with Save the Children and Mercy Corps, with support from SDC and SIDA.


JOR: Strengthening Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) Humanitarian Corridor for Gaza

Jordan’s humanitarian corridor remains a critical lifeline for delivering aid to Gaza. Through this intervention, Switzerland contributes to strengthening the operational capacity of a key partner for humanitarian aid to Gaza: the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO). The project will reinforce JHCO by expanding staff capacity, enhancing logistics, and optimizing the Amman humanitarian hub for efficient aid delivery. The contribution is part of the Federal Council’s decision from 26 November 2025 to grant CHF 23 million to support the “Gaza Peace Plan” of the United States.


Wada Hadal – Local Dialogue for Peace

Conflict remains recurrent in Somalia and hampers the development of communities. Switzerland fosters inclusive and locally-led dialogue for peace initiatives to prevent and transform conflicts non-violently. It invests in local capacity and cooperation amongst peacebuilding actors. Communities’ enhanced conflict management capacity increases their ability to solve competition around natural resources, clan-based tensions and external pressures peacefully and sustainably, contributing to a more stable Somalia.


Forum international (IFT) sur le Total Official Support for Sustainable Development (TOSSD), contribution de membre de la Suisse

Le Total Official Support for Sustainable Development (TOSSD) est un cadre statistique visant à garantir un système cohérent, comparable et harmonisé pour suivre les investissements liés aux objectifs du développement durable dans les pays en développement. Le standard est supervisé par le Forum international sur le TOSSD (IFT). La Suisse notifie ses données depuis 2019. En tant que membre de l’IFT, elle contribue au développement conceptuel et stratégique de la mesure.


Sri Lanka, SET Tropical Storm Ditwah

Sri Lanka is grappling with one of its worst natural disasters in recent history. Cyclone Ditwah struck Sri Lanka at the end of November 2025 with unprecedented force, unleashing days of torrential rain that triggered severe flooding and landslides across all 25 districts of the country. Given the devastating situation, the Swiss Humanitarian Aid decided to deploy a Rapid Response Team (SET), focusing on WASH, and possible additional sectors like NFI, CVA and/or shelter.


Energy and Environment Partnership Africa Trust Fund

Switzerland supports the Energy and Environment Partnership Africa Trust Fund to advance clean energy solutions in Zimbabwe. The project provides grants, business development support and investment facilitation to innovative private-sector actors that deliver clean energy services to vulnerable communities. This aligns with Switzerland’s interest to support climate change mitigation and inclusive economic development in Zimbabwe. 


Emergency Response for Palestinian Medical Evacuees and their Companions, single phase

Since the escalation of the Gaza conflict on October 7, 2023, Egypt has served as a vital humanitarian corridor, receiving over 8,000 injured Palestinians and 16,000 accompanying family members. All medical evacuees and their companions remain in Egypt, unable to return to Gaza due to ongoing insecurity and access restrictions. As medical evacuations continue, pressure on Egypt’s health system continue. The project strengthens access to specialized healthcare, mental health and psychosocial support, and cash assistance.


Improving access to justice in Northern Mozambique

01.12.2025 - 31.12.2027

This project aims to improve access to justice in two provinces in Northern Mozambique by empowering provincial and district courts. Through a combination of training, procedural reform and infrastructure upgrades, Switzerland will directly support the Supreme Court to deliver faster and more effective justice, with a particular focus on corruption cases and land-related disputes. 


ICRC Add. Contrib. Sudan Crisis NK, SUD, SSD, Chad

01.12.2025 - 31.12.2026

SDC funding to ICRC operations allows the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to respond proactively and to provide immediate protection and assistance for people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence such as Sudan. In line with the Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) principles, Switzerland recognizes the necessity of predictable and flexible funding to respond to changing needs in humanitarian crises.
