Bridging the Health Gap, Single Phase

Bridging the Health Gap aims to improve equitable access to quality primary health care for vulnerable populations in Zimbabwe by strengthening diagnostic services, non-communicable disease (NCD) care and service delivery for maternal, neonatal and mental health. The Single-Phase project supports the public sector in nine districts through a localisation approach aligned with Zimbabwe’s health strategy and SDC priorities. Partners include the City of Harare, Solidarmed and Hand in Hand Zimbabwe.

Protection communautaire au Burkina Faso

Face aux graves conséquences du conflit, avec l’augmentation des violences basées sur le genre et des engins explosifs improvisés, la Suisse soutient des initiatives communautaires et étatiques innovantes en matière de protection. Elle cible 45'000 personnes (hôtes, déplacées, retournées) dont 80% de femmes et d’enfants, en renforçant les capacités locales pour prévenir les incidents, accompagner les victimes et réduire la vulnérabilité des populations dans les zones affectées.
Support to the Norwegian Refugee Council’s Integrated multi-sectoral humanitarian response in Gaza and the West Bank

In response to the humanitarian situation in Gaza and escalation of violence in the West Bank, Switzerland contributes to the Norwegian Refugee Council’s integrated, multi-sectoral humanitarian response in the OPT. Crises affected people are supported with protection and legal services, water and sanitation, shelter and education in emergency. This assistance is flexibly adjusted to the evolving situation and humanitarian needs on the ground.
Anti-corruption Support Project

The project aims to strengthen Tanzania’s capacity to prevent, detect, and prosecute corruption and economic crime. Building on prior phases, it deepens institutional support in Zanzibar while expanding citizen engagement through digital tools and advocacy. The project is implemented by ICAR and Jamii Africa, focusing on asset recovery, inter-agency collaboration and civic accountability. It aligns with Switzerland’s strategic priorities in governance and the fight against illicit financial flows.
Philippines: IFRC Earthquake and Typhoons Emergency 2025

This contribution supports the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and its members in responding to the urgent needs of communities affected by the Cebu earthquake and successive typhoons. Through integrated assistance, including shelter, livelihoods, health, WASH and protection, the intervention aims to improve the well-being of affected populations, support recovery, and reduce risks, guided by the long-standing Swiss humanitarian tradition.
Capacity building in Integrated Disaster Risk Management in Venezuela

This project creates greater resilience to disasters by strengthening the know-how and capacities of relevant institutions, and organizations for integrated disaster risk management in Venezuela by providing formation and training, in particular postgraduate level studies (Master), eight diploma courses for professionals and specifically adapted workshops for practitioners at community level. By enhancing formation and training capacities, moving from traditional disaster risk reduction to integrated disaster risk management, it is ensured that all phases of the disaster cycle are considered and everyone, especially vulnerable groups, are included.
MIRE+ assistance to victims of violence: from emergency to early recovery.

In Colombia, violence against civilians by armed groups has once again increased, despite many peace efforts. To help people who are directly affected, Switzerland provides immediate assistance to families in urgent need and also supports them in rebuilding their lives step by step, so they are better prepared for the future. An important part of the project is that more and more of the aid is delivered through local Colombian organizations, ensuring that the support is close to the people and adapted to their reality and that response capacities remain in place for the future. This work complements Switzerland’s broader efforts for peace and development in Colombia.
Afghanistan earthquake: relief items for the affected population

A devastating earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on August, 31, 2025, minutes before midnight, causing approximately 3000 casualties. SDC, through its embassy I Islamabad and the humanitarian office in Kabul, has decided to deliver family tents and multi-purpose tents to Kabul where they were donated to the Afghan Red Crescent Society. This CP aims to cover the reprocurement of the donated tents to be stored at UNHRD, Dubai.
Decentralization for Improved Democratic Education (DECIDE), Phase 2

Amid ongoing war, Switzerland helps Ukraine ensure equitable quality education and advance decentralization. Building on strong results of Phase 1, DECIDE expands to additional regions and communities, supporting data-driven, participatory reforms at all governance levels. It links education to labor market needs and engages youth in recovery. Switzerland’s added value lies in deep expertise in decentralization and democratic education governance, supporting Ukraine’s human capital recovery, while promoting democratic resilience and sustainable development.
Programme d’Appui à la Gouvernance Inclusive (PAGI), Phase unique

PAGI s’appuie sur la longue expérience suisse en gouvernance locale pour répondre aux besoins urgents des populations vulnérables. Dans un contexte de conflits et d’accès limité aux services de base, le programme agit au plus près des réalités. Il renforce le rôle des collectivités territoriales de Mopti, Tombouctou et Sikasso, en lien avec la société civile et des partenaires spécialisés. PAGI encourage des réponses locales, concertées et inclusives pour un accès équitable aux services dans un cadre plus stable.
Programme de renforcement de la résilience des ménages pastoraux et agropastoraux face aux crises climatiques et à l’insécurité (RESILIA)

La DDC veut contribuer au renforcement de la résilience de plus de 180’000 éleveurs pasteurs dont les personnes déplacées internes affectées par la crise sécuritaire et climatique au Burkina Faso. Le programme vise à soutenir les éleveurs pasteurs dans l’adaptation de leurs pratiques d’élevage aux défis climatiques et sécuritaires, créer des opportunités économiques pour les jeunes et les femmes et assurer une gestion pacifique des conflits d’accès aux ressources naturelles.
