RCA: NRC Réponse urgence et protection

Le programme de NRC contribue à améliorer la réponse d’urgence suite aux déplacements de population dans les préfectures de Bamingui Bangoran, Kemo et Mambere Kadei. L’appui financier de la DDC se focus surtout sur le projet dans la préfecture de Bamingui Bangoran qui vise à apporter une assistance pour répondre à des besoins urgents et de couvrir la prévention des conflits communautaires dans la région de Ndélé, domaine non couvert par les autres bailleurs.

Serbia, which is currently negotiating accession to the European Union (EU), must undergo reforms to meet the criteria that apply to EU member states. Unemployment among young people is currently 27,5% and is a major concern for the Serbian government. Serbia wants to base the reform of its vocational training system on the success factors of the Swiss system of dual education and training and has invited Switzerland to assist it in this crucially important reform process.

Bangladesh: courses to raise job prospects for the poor in the textiles and building sectors

The textiles and construction sectors in Bangladesh are recording high rates of growth, but many poor women and men lack the necessary qualifications for skilled jobs. By 2019, a project jointly financed by Switzerland and the United Kingdom aims to give 110,000 of them better prospects through on-the-job training. The results so far are promising.

Governance and Decentralisation Programme Phase II (GDP II)

Governance and Decentralisation Programme Phase II (GDP II) aims to support Mongolia’s decentralisation reform process by fostering local governments which are empowered, democratic, and accountable to citizens, and which provide sustainable services responding to citizens’ needs. GDP II is working in close collaboration with Mongolian counterpart organizations to strengthen national ownership. The programme is expected to have a nationwide impact, benefitting all local governments as well as citizens (men and women) of Mongolia. A pro-poor and gender equality focus is explicitly mainstreamed in the programme’s design and its results framework.

Social Accountability 2015-2018

The Social Accountability Programme extends support to the three leading Tanzanian advocacy organisations in the field of policy advocacy, health and agriculture, Policy Forum, Sikika, and ANSAF. Each plays a key role in enhancing transparency and accountability of public resource management at national and local level, scrutinizing public resource data and empowering citizens and local organizations to engage more effectively in public oversight.

Tchad : Oxfam Assist. pers. déplacées RCA

Par son appui financier au projet multisectoriel d’Oxfam, la DDC souhaite contribuer aux besoins humanitaires des personnes déplacées de RCA et des communautés hôtes, grâce à un accès amélioré aux moyens d’existence et aux opportunités économiques, à des services en eau, hygiène et assainissement de base et aux abris, et ainsi participer à la prévention des risques d’insécurité alimentaire, de propagation des maladies diarrhéiques et de conflits intercommunautaires dans le sud du Tchad.

The CHF is a multi-donor pooled fund, managed under the direction of the Humanitarian Coordinator (HC). The fund finances projects of UN agencies, international and national non-governmental organizations. The CHF is used for timely allocation and disbursement of donor resources to the most urgent humanitarian needs and critical gaps in Sudan. The CHF strengthens the response capacity and fosters at the same time greater sectoral responsibility and accountability – it has an important role in the current situation.

Par son appui financier au projet de MdM-F de soutien aux structures de soins santé primaires et secondaires dans les préfectures de Bangui et de l’Ombella-MPoko, la DDC souhaite contribuer à la réduction de la morbidité et la mortalité dans des zones ayant été définies comme prioritaires dans le SRP 2015, ainsi que soutenir la mise en place de services de prise en charge multisectoriels des victimes de violence liées au genre.

ESTHER (Ensemble pour une Solidarité Thérapeutique Hospitalière En Réseau)

Switzerland contributes to improve the quality of health services and the health of the populations in Low and Middle Income Countries through institutional health partnerships. Switzerland offers its health expertise by twinning Swiss health institutions, mainly hospitals and research institutes, with the same type of institutions and by focusing on the area of sexual and reproductive health including HIV/AIDS. These institutional partnerships are embedded within the framework of the European ESTHER Alliance.

Youth Employment Generation-Gaza

The project will support the Palestinian national and local authorities in responding to the needs of the vulnerable and war-affected youth and disabled in the Gaza Strip through the provision of temporary employment within the framework of emergency job creation. The project will be implemented through UNDP in collaboration with the Ministries of Labour, Social Affairs and the targeted local municipalities. The project is a direct contribution to the early recovery efforts in the Gaza strip and is in line with the Swiss Cooperation Strategy for the oPt 2015 – 2018.

In response to this, the government of Albania wants to improve vocational edu­cation and training (VET) and align it towards labour market needs. The Skills for Jobs project supports this reorientation.
