In line with the Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) principles, Switzerland recognizes the necessity of pre-dictable and flexible funding for responding to changing needs in humanitarian crises. SDC funding to ICRC operations allows the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to respond proactively and to provide immediate protection and assistance for people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence.
