Grüessech. Bonjour. Buongiorno. Allegra. Together with my team, I welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of Switzerland to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. This platform offers practical information for Swiss citizens living in the region, as well as for partners, institutions and all those interested in Switzerland and its relations with the Baltic states.

Since summer 2025, I have had the honour of serving as Ambassador of Switzerland to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. I take up this mandate at a time of both continuity and significant change in the region. Switzerland builds on long-standing ties of friendship with the Baltic states and remains a committed and reliable partner.

Recent years have profoundly shaped the political and security environment in the Baltic region. Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine has underscored the importance of resilience, solidarity and international cooperation. Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have shown strong unity and determination in upholding democratic values and supporting Ukraine, developments which Switzerland follows closely and engages with through political dialogue, humanitarian efforts and European cooperation.

Through the second Swiss contribution to selected EU member states, Switzerland continues to support projects in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia that foster innovation, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, research and a strong civil society, further strengthening our bilateral relations and cooperation with the European Union.

The well-being of Swiss citizens in the three Baltic states remains a key priority. Together with the Regional Consular Centre in Stockholm, the Embassy is ready to assist Swiss nationals and to provide timely information and support. The Swiss community plays an important role in strengthening people-to-people ties between our countries.
