Shooting Stars - Exhibition of Sasha Huber

Friday, 28.11.2014 – Sunday, 11.01.2015

Cultural event

The powerful protest of the internationally known Sasha Huber is seen at the main space of Korjaamo Galleria. Shooting Stars is a kind of a memorial. The exhibition includes portraits of people shot for political, ideological, ethnical or ethical reasons. The evocative exhibition shakes up racist paradigms and asks, how would the world be like without violence or discrimination.

The Swiss-Haitian Sasha Huber (b. 1975) graduated from the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in 2006. She currently writes her doctoral thesis about Racism through the lens of art. She has held private exhibitions both in Finland and abroad.
