Community Service Workshops
The project has established one community service workshop in Bucharest in partnership between VEBO Switzerland, the Foundation FPSC and the Ministry of Justice in Romania. Within the project, a publicity campaign to further increase the use of alternative sanctions in the form of community service has been implemented. The project is part of the thematic fund security in Romania. Further information about this fund can be found among the additional information on the very bottom of this page.

The project activities are divided in six components which are planned to be implemented in defined periods between January 2012 and December 2014. Basically, a third and a fourth workshop will be prepared, installed and opened in two more cities of the country. Staff will be hired and trained so that the workshops become sustainable and serve as pilots for the new element of probation in the Romanian penal system. |
