CISP: Protección integral y asistencia humanitaria para población fronteriza, desplazada, repatriada y migrante con afectación múltiple en Venezuela, Colombia y Ecuador

COSUDE apoya al Comitato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo dei Popoli (CISP) en sus esfuerzos por mejorar las condiciones de vida de los migrantes, retornados, refugiados y las comunidades de acogida vulnerables, viviendo principalmente en las fronteras colombo-venezolana y colombo-ecuatoriana. La intervención busca ampliar la asistencia humanitaria y se enfoca en los ámbitos de protección, salud, salud mental, nutrición, agua y saneamiento y acceso a la educación. El proyecto está alineado con el Plan de Respuesta Humanitaria de Venezuela, el Plan Regional de Respuesta para Refugiados y Migrantes (capítulos Ecuador y Colombia) y las prioridades de los gobiernos.

CRC: Integración de población migrante y de acogida en Cali

COSUDE apoyará a la Cruz Roja Colombiana (Cruz Roja Colombiana, CRC) para contribuir a la la integración cultural y socioeconómica de los migrantes venezolanos, los retornados colombianos y las comunidades de acogida vulnerables en Cali. Este proyecto trabajará en torno al nexo entre responder a las necesidades humanitarias y crear condiciones para la estabilización socioeconómica de población vulnerable. Tendrá lugar en un contexto de riesgos de protección, especialmente para mujeres, jóvenes y niños asociados con economías ilegales y actores armados. El proyecto se ajustó para responder a las consecuencias del Covid-19 en la subsistencia económica de las personas focalizadas en Cali y de otras poblaciones vulnerables en Cauca, Guainía, Vichada.

“Mental Health for Universal Health Coverage” (MH4UHC)

In low resource settings, less than 20% of people with mental disorders have access to mental health services. Building on best practices and experience from Swiss supported programs at country level, the Special Initiative for Mental Health aims to increase access to care for people with mental disorders in low- and middle-income countries. Priority areas are advocacy for investments in mental health, evidence-based policy formulation, and integration of mental health services at primary healthcare level.

Implementing the aspiration set out in the WFP Strategic Plan (2017-2021) for a people-centred, needs-driven approach that is guided by a strong commitment to the humanitarian principles calls for strengthening the integration of Protection and AAP throughout WFP’s operations. Therefore, WFP has started implementing a new Protection, AAP and Inclusion strategy, with the aim to inform the development of a new Protection Policy by early 2021.This project intends to further support this ambitious endeavour.

As digital transformation has accelerated, the mechanisms for digital governance (shared norms and standards) failed to keep pace. With this contribution DiploFoundation (Diplo) supports digital governance in general and developing countries in building capacities to participate in inclusive digital policy processes. Diplo has made a significant contribution that Geneva is today one of the main hubs for digital policies and more developing countries are participating in the discussions.

Membership contribution to the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN)

The Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN) is the only institution offering regular independent performance assessments of major multilateral organisations (MOs). MOPAN is Switzerland’s key performance analysis instrument for MOs. It enhances informed steering of the governing bodies of Switzerland’s multilateral priority organisations and ensures effective accountability for the funds provided. MOPAN contributes to a more effective multilateral system.

Health Promotion and System Strengthening

The Health Promotion and System Strengthening Project is a SDC flagship project in Tanzania. In this third and exit phase, the project will strengthen the efficiency of national institutions to scale up policy reform processes that have been introduced based on the successful health innovations financed by SDC. The institutional capacity of 187 district councils will be enhanced to improve access to social protection, medicines supply, medical equipment maintenance and health promotion through technical assistance, digitalized solutions and researches for policy dialogue.

Displacement contributes to Somalia’s rapid and unplanned urbanization. 2.6 million people are displaced with little prospects for durable solutions. Switzerland, in a whole of government approach and through a UN Joint Programme Saameynta (UNJPS) will contribute to durable solutions for displacement-affected communities by improving their protection environment, socio-economic inclusiveness, self-reliance and fit-for-purpose land governance, thus leading to sustainable (re)integration.

En fase II, el Programa consolida capacidades del Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos en vigilancia, promoción y protección de defensores de derechos humanos pueblos indígenas, afrodescendientes y facilita que gobiernos, sector privado, indígenas y afrodescendientes, establezcan un proceso de diálogo sobre gobernanza de los recursos naturales y definan primeros acuerdos en los países del Triángulo Norte y Nicaragua.

This project is designed to increase the resilience of women, men and children in Torit State in South Sudan. This will be achieved through improving agricultural production and access to value chains for farmers and small scale businesses. In order to improve productivity and reduce water-related diseases, the project will improve access to water. This will ultimately reduce vulnerability to the threat of food & nutrition insecurity, and bring the target population to engage in increased productivity with financial benefit.
