Launch of collaboration between SDC and ERC

A workshop on planning for results in international cooperation was co-organized by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and the Emirates Red Crescent ERC from 23 to 24 January 2017.

A workshop on “Knowledge Exchange in Results-based Management in International Cooperation” was co-organized by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)  and the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) from 23 to 24 January 2017. The workshop took place at the ERC’s headquarters. SDC’s Regional Advisor for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid in Abu Dhabi, Niklaus Eggenberger, presented information and practical know-how on project planning and the logical framework approach to sixteen ERC management-level employees and volunteers. This workshop, which is envisaged to be part one of a series, was successfully concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony headed by ERC Deputy Secretary General for International Aid, Fahad Bin Sultan, who emphasized the importance of such joint collaboration efforts in this field. The workshop was reported on by the Emirates News Agency (WAM). Due to the positive feedback, part two is currently in planning and will soon follow.
