Asset Recovery Competences

Progetto concluso
The project aims at improving the capacities of the Romanian Assets Recovery Office ARO, set up in January 2011, by training the staff, prosecutors and police officers, by equipping the ARO and strenghtening the international cooperation in assets recovery. The project is part of the thematic fund security in Romania. Further information about this fund can be found among the additional information on the very bottom of this page.

Attività	The project activities are divided into six components that are planned to be implemented in defined periods between March 2012 and July 2014. Among them are: an external audit of ARO two 2-day workshops two 5-days seminars two study visits in Switzerland and one in another EU member state purchase of IT equipment a final conference
Risultati	Risultati raggiunti: Benchmark study on ARO elaborated by Swiss experts Toolkit for Asset Recovery Specialists elaborated 200 Romanian Asset Recovery specialists trained 2 study visits (Switzerland and France) Procurement of 5 laptops and 3 software security licenses and training on the new software Procurement of training equipment Swiss Partner Institution: International Center for Asset Recovery (ICAR) of the Basel Institute on Governance ARO training facility endowed with the necessary training equipment to carry out trainings
