Progetto concluso

The project for Prevention, Identification and Protection (PIP) addressing anti-trafficking was aimed at strengthening the intervention capacity of Romania government actors against trafficking of human beings (THB) and develop public campaigns and prevention in order to implement the National Action Plan 2011-2015. Romanian public and private actors in anti-trafficking of human beings as well as victims of trafficking

Attività The project has built up the intervention capacity of Romanian government actors, target potential victims of trafficking in Romania through public campaigns focusing on most vulnerable groups, developed activities in the field of preventing trafficking in human beings, feed lessons learned from the project into the 2013 National Action Plan and produced recommendations for Victims of Trafficking (VoT).
Risultati

Risultati raggiunti:  

  • Increased capacities within the Romanian National Agency Against Trafficking in Persons (ANITP) to understand and manage its tasks with local and international stakeholders (via trainings; begging survey; study visits and workshops in Romania and Switzerland; and brochure on identification, referral and repatriation of victims of trafficking between Romania and Switzerland)
  • Raised awareness among potential victims of trafficking in persons in Romania about the risks of being exploited and trafficked (via Campaign that reached 27'350 people; decrease in Romanian of victims of traffiking expected )
  • Improved cooperation and enhanced capacity for regional centres to develop future activities (via local seminars)
  • Recommendations for improving assistance to victims of THB  in RO received for the elaboration of the next National Action Plan  .
