Located near important partners such as WHO and UNAIDS, with 50% of the space designed for collaborative tasks, the new building is intended to foster innovation and knowledge sharing. It will also permit to save money, which will help to increase the impact of the action taken since Geneva, with the common aims to overcome some of the deadliest diseases on the planet and to help people around the world to live a healthy life.

Collaboration between organizations active in global health is strengthened. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, GAVI Vaccine Alliance, UNITAID, the Stop TB Partnership and the Roll Back Malaria Partnership are now working under the same roof.
