On Tuesday, 20 March 2012, President Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf and Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter will travel to Brussels for high-level meetings.

On the agenda are talks with the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and President of the European Commission José Manuel and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz and the EU Commissioner for Taxation Algirdas Šemeta.

The issues in the visit to Brussels concern the status and the further course of action in bilateral relations between Switzerland and the EU, tax matters, financial market regulation issues, the euro crisis and topical foreign policy issues.
