The President of the Swiss Confederation and head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Micheline Calmy-Rey, will travel to Turkey from 26 to 27 December at the invitation of the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ahmed Davutoglu.

She will have talks on various bilateral themes and current international issues. During her working visit to Ankara, Mrs Calmy-Rey will also be received by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Abdullah Gül. In addition, Mrs Calmy-Rey has been invited to give a speech on Swiss foreign policy at the Turkish Ambassadors’ Annual Conference.
