Switzerland condemns the escalation of violence in the Gaza Strip and in the southern part of Israel.  

Switzerland calls upon all of the parties concerned to exercise utmost restraint. Switzerland also appeals to them to respect their obligations under International Humanitarian Law and to respect human rights.
