Federal Councillor Calmy-Rey in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE) she will take part in the Sir Bani Yas Forum. The forum, organized by the government of the UAE and the International Peace Institute, deals with the peace process in the Middle East. Several dozen ministers, high-ranking officials and experts from Europe and countries in the Middle East are expected at the forum.
Federal Councillor Calmy-Rey will make an official working visit to Kuwait, whose purpose is to intensify the bilateral relations and ongoing promotion of economic cooperation between Switzerland and the Gulf State. Among others, Federal Councillor Calmy-Rey will meet Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, and Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
