Water is key to life and sustainable economic development. However, and despite multiple efforts, the world is not on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 that aims at ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all by 2030.

Switzerland, as Europe’s water tower acknolwedges that more needs to be done to accelerate the way towards achieving SDG 6, reason why many guiding strategic documents including Switzerland's International Cooperation Strategy 2021-24 confirm water as a priority theme. Based on its multifaceted members out of Switzerland’s vibrant water sector, the Swiss Water Partnership makes Swiss water expertise available to contribute to the acceleration towards achieving SDG 6.
