SPHERE Project 2019-2021
Since 1997, Sphere, as a network and as a global community, brings together a diverse range of humanitarian actors, including focal points, trainers, members and other users around a common goal, which is to improve outcomes for people affected by crisis, conflict and disaster and having the right to receive the best quality of principled and accountable humanitarian assistance wherever and whenever crisis strikes.

- Open access to the most up to date and field tested standards, as well as a menu of learning tools which can be adapted to need and context, including Sphere and its companion standards partners
- Taking action through a partnership-based approach to strengthen implementation in practice, in different contexts, and to address different challenges
- A growing network of Sphere users who can share their own experience and learning directly, in real time, with peers.
- Sphere has launched its revised Handbook at the end of 2018, informed by the most inclusive and far-reaching consultation in its 20-year history.
- The organisation has also transformed its governance systems to ensure that the diverse users of Sphere are directly engaged in driving its strategic direction and priorities.

| Efectos a medio plazo | The period 2019-2021 is a pivotal one for Sphere as it concludes its 2015-2020 strategic plan, works with an active global network to support the uptake and application of the revised Standards, and builds a dynamic and interactive approach to support all stakeholders. During this period, a new strategic plan is being developed to guide the organisation’s priorities, informed by learning and external analysis, including feedback received during the 2017-2018 Handbook revision process. |

Resultados previstos: An action-based framework has already been developed to guide work at all levels and to enhance Sphere’s contribution to the humanitarian sector for this period: Learn, Act, Connect.
