L’aggravation des conflits armés en territoire de Masisi (Nord Kivu) menace les moyens de subsistance des populations. Pour répondre à des besoins urgents, le projet vise à renforcer la capacité des communautés à résister aux chocs liés aux conflits (résilience), grâce au renforcement des mécanismes communautaires de protection, l’accès et la sécurisation des terres, et le renforcement de moyens de subsistance.


Rising Together - Building Resilient & Inclusive Communities through Women & Youth Empowerment

The project aims to address widespread Gender-Based violence against women and girls in both Rohingya refugee and host communities, as well as the need for skill development among youth, in Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char. In partnership with UNFPA, Switzerland aims to improve protection services and provide training opportunities, thereby reinforcing its commitment to gender equality and social inclusion.


Multi-Hazard Early Warning and Early Action in the Andes

This project aims to increasing resilience to disasters through multi-hazard early warning systems and government-led early actions. It will build on experiences in selected watersheds in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, while promoting exchange through a regional and global Community of Practice including Swiss expertise at the forefront of technological alarm systems. The initiative shall serve to influence policies and financing mechanisms necessary to successfully implement anticipatory actions.


COL: Contribution to Colombia’s Humanitarian Fund led by UNOCHA

In Colombia, protracted armed conflicts, increasing impacts of climate change, intense migratory influxes, persistent high poverty rates, and limited institutional capacity in peripheral areas continue to drive humanitarian needs. In this context, the Colombia Humanitarian Fund, a multi-donor fund lead by the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), aims to provide targeted humanitarian responses to conflict affected people and migrants with the enhanced engagement of local actors and structures.


Provision of integrated protection, genderbased violence (GBV), child protection and food security and livelihoods (FSL) services to vulnerable returnees, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and their host communities in Rotriak, Unity State.

Respond with integrated Protection and Food Security/Livelihoods to the needs of the conflict and flood affected vulnerable IDPs, returnees and host communities in Rotriak, Unity State. Herewith, SDC attempts two goals; saving lives and promoting localization agenda as the two components of the project, GBV and FSL, will be implemented by a national partner.


Multi-sectoral emergency response for the protection and basic needs of conflict-affected children and their families in South Lebanon

The escalation fo the armed conflict has dramatically worsened Lebanon's humanitarian crisis with more than 800'000 people displaced. Terre des Hommes will provide humanitarian assistance to internally displaced conflict-affected children and families in South Lebanon in six collective shelters, by improving the shelters, by providing emergency child protection and gender-based violence responsive services and by delivering essential supplies including winterization equipment.


Cholera response International Federation of the Red Cross Country Support Platform

Cholera is a recurrent problem in many countries. Outbreaks of cholera are becoming more frequent due to climate change and ongoing rapid urbanisation. This proposal will provide financial support to the Country Support Platform of the International Federation of the Red Cross, IFRC. The Country Support Platform is the operational arm of the Global Task Force on Cholera Control, which assists governments to provide targeted preparedness and response in Cholera hotspots.


CONTRIBUTION - ESPACE JURIDIQUE COMMUN

Le Partenariat de voisinage entre le Royaume du Maroc et le Conseil de l’Europe (CdE) définit le cadre stratégique dans lequel s’inscrivent le dialogue politique et la coopération technique entre le Maroc et le CdE pour la période 2022-2025, visant à soutenir les réformes engagées par le pays afin de consolider la démocratie, l’état de droit et la bonne gouvernance ainsi que la construction d’un modèle social basé sur la solidarité et la cohésion. Ce partenariat ambitionne l’élargissement de l’espace juridique commun, en soutenant l'harmonisation des normes législatives et institutionnelles marocaines avec les standards européens.

Les initiatives mises en oeuvre dans ce cadre et l’ancrage progressif du cadre législatif marocain dans les standards européens permettent de garantir la durabilité des réformes, à travers des actions coordonnées entre les acteurs nationaux et internationaux. La présente contribution s’insère dans les projets mis en oeuvre dans ce cadre.


LEB - Lebanese Red Cross: Emergency Appeal Conflict response

01.11.2024 - 31.12.2027

The ongoing armed conflict since 8 October 2023 has witnessed a dramatic increase since 17 September 2024, leading to more than 2,000 deaths, 10,000 injured, 800,000 internally displaced persons and massive material damage, including healthcare facilities in Lebanon. The Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) is a key player in the immediate response (Search and Rescue, health and basic needs) and launched an Emergency Appeal to respond to immediate needs


JOR UNICEF: Increased Access to Quality and Inclusive Education in Syrian Refugee Camps

This intervention aims to enhance access to and quality of education for Syrian refugee children, ensuring a supportive and conducive learning environment  across the main Syrian refugee camps in Jordan. Switzerland, along with other donors,  contributes to this UNICEF project which provides operational support to schools, Non-Formal Education (NFE) and Kindergarten (KG) centres to address the high dropout rates among young children. 


Livelihoods for women in Upper Egypt

Women in Upper Egypt face significant barriers to economic participation due to discriminatory social norms and limited resources Combined with the region's economic challenges, this has created a pressing need to improve women livelihoods where over 60% are below the poverty line. The proposed project objective is to improve socio-economic conditions for women in Upper Egypt by increasing young women's employability through quality vocational training in the ICT and healthcare sectors and by providing social protection, assets transfer, financial inclusion and social integration for ultra poor female-headed households.


Mental Health for Universal Health Coverage (MH4UHC) – Phase 2

01.11.2024 - 31.10.2028

In low-resource settings, over 75% of people who need mental health support do not have access to adequate services. Co-created with the SDC, the WHO Special Initiative for Mental Health responds to this urgent need by scaling up mental health services in community settings, revising mental health legislation, policies, and sharing learnings to advance the world’s mental health agenda. In this second phase, a stronger focus will be put on addressing mental disorders in humanitarian contexts.
