Support to the Mountain Partnership Secretariat

The Mountain Partnership Secretariat, hosted at the Food and Agricultural Organization in Rome and funded by the Italian Cooperation and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation  was established in 2003 to support and serve Mountain Parnership members. The Mountain parnership Sexretariat acts as a liaison and networking point between initiatives and among the members. In addition to arranging for - or directly providing - services in support of members' initiatives, the Mountain parntnership Secretariat serves as a catalyst that stimulates joint activities between members. The Mountain parntership Secretariat is also at the interface between the Mountain partnership and other relevant processes and entities such as the UN Commission on Sustainable Development to which the Mountain partnership Secretariat has officially to report.
