Background

Development of climate services and products as part of the WMO-led Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) Initiative and strengthening of the WMO Regional Training Centre in Lima, Peru
Objectives

To provide high-quality weather and climate information to inform policy-makers

Political decision-makers in Peru and Andes, professional weather forecasters in Peru, students in the field of meteorology and climatology of WMO Member States in Region III
Medium-term outcomes

 

  • Increased capacity at the Regional Training Centre (RTC), to train professionals specialised in meteorology and climatology
