Every day we see images of people who fled their homeland, only to tragically lose their lives. But what does it mean to be forced to abandon your home, work, family and country? The exhibition "Displaced" allows visitors to put themselves in the shoes of refugees and to get some idea of what it is like to be forced to flee one's home.

Conference Art at Risk – creative work in challenging contexts in Zurich, Feb. 27th to 29th 2020
Die Europäische Nachhaltigkeitswoche (ESDW) findet jedes Jahr vom 30. Mai bis 5. Juni statt. Diese europaweite Initiative hat zum Ziel, Aktivitäten, Projekte und Veranstaltungen, die zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung beitragen, sichtbarer zu machen. Die 17 Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung der kürzlich verabschiedeten Agenda 2030 für nachhaltige Entwicklung sollen dabei als roter Faden dienen. Die ESDW wird vom Europäischen Nachhaltigkeitsnetzwerk (ESDN) unterstützt.

"Africa – heritage of humanity" is the theme of the African Book Fair at this year's Geneva Book and Press Fair, which will take place from 27 April to 1 May 2016. Literary, historical and artistic heritage will be discussed by thinkers, art experts, poets and major figures of African literature. Also on the agenda will be the constantly shifting heritage as told by photographers, bloggers, slam poets and more.

The international film festival Visions du Réel is an unmissable event for professionals in the field of documentary film. The SDC supports the festival in Nyon which also puts a spotlight on documentary films from countries of the South and East.
This year's Geneva Health Forum on the topic of 'Global Health: Sustainable and Affordable Innovations in Healthcare' will take place in Geneva from 19–21 April. The SDC will be actively involved through a number of activities.

First in a series of events entitled "Dialogue 2030: Switzerland and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" on the role of partnerships.
The United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in September 2015. The new agenda contains 17 specific goals that apply to all countries, encompassing social and economic development but also environmental sustainability. Now the time has come to implement the agenda – in Switzerland too! It can only succeed if all the important partners, authorities, civil society, and the business and science communities are mobilised into concerted action.

The SDC will present its activities in the healthcare sector through an engaging and informative stand at the next "Comptoir broyard" in Payerne. From its response to the Ebola epidemic to its goal of giving everyone on the planet access to quality care, Swiss development cooperation has taken on some big challenges.
