During the meeting, Ambassador Providoli expressed her commitment to enhancing cooperation across a wide range of areas, including development cooperation, education, research and innovation as well as economy and trade. "I feel privileged to represent Switzerland in the United Republic of Tanzania and look forward to strengthen our already very good relations further," she said.

Switzerland and Tanzania have a long history of mutually fruitful collaboration, characterized by friendly and stable diplomatic relations. Full diplomatic relations were established in 1964, following the founding of the United Republic of Tanzania was founded. This year marks the 60^th anniversary of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Providoli was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission and Head of International Cooperation, Mr. Holger Tausch, and the Consul Ms Khaterah Massum.
